The most anticipated LG G Flex2 is now in the market!

LG G Flex2

The LG G Flex2 was announced in January and launched in India last month. It was first introduced globally at CES 2015. It will be available to purchase in India from Thursday at Rs.54,990. The single-SIM smartphone runs on the Android v5.0 (Lollipop) out-of-the-box!

Processor & Memory

It is the first smartphone to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (a 64-bit octa-core SoC). The smartphone is bundled with 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM and Adreno 430 GPU. The G Flex2 will come in two variants 16GB/32GB internal storage which are expandable via microSD card. 

Camera & Battery

The smartphone sports a 13MP camera with a dual-LED two-tone flash, optical image stabilisation (OIS+), laser-guided autofocus alike LG G3 and a 2.1MP front-facing camera. The smartphone is backed by a curved embedded 3000mAh non-removable battery.


The LG G Flex2 houses a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) curved P-OLED display with a resolution and a 403ppi. The display features a 700mm-radius curvature and the back is a little more sharper with 650mm-radius curvature for a good grip. LG claims that the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 of the LG G Flex 2 has been improved around 20 percent from the LG G Flex with their special chemical treatment technology - Dura-Guard glass.


The LG G Flex 2 comprises of some common connectivity features like 4G LTE-A with tri-band carrier aggregation, HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Smart Ready (Apt-X) 4.1, NFC, SlimPort, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, and USB 2.0.

Other Features

The smartphone also comprises of things like 'Gesture View' to check last clicked shot, 'Glance View' to swipe down for notifications even when the screen is off, a simple hand 'Gesture Shot' recognition from up to 1.5 metres away and 'Fast Charging' can charge the battery up to 50 percent within 40 minutes. As of now, the smartphone is available in Titan Silver 16GB variant.

LG has now improved the 'Self Healing' in the LG G Flex2 compared to the LG G Flex which will now get healed within 10 seconds at room temperature - this is a great upgrade from the LG G Flex's 3 minutes healing. 

Our Verdict!

The LG G Flex has got some amazing specs! Above all, it was the first phone announced to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (64-bit octa-core SoC)! We don't say it priced high as it has got the unique feature (the Curve) which the other smartphones don't feature! So, let's see what the LG G Flex2 will do in the smartphone market!
