Good news to OnePlus One users!

Good news to OnePlus One users!

OnePlus One

OnePlus on 8th May told that all the legal proceedings with Micromax in India were resolved and the cases are now withdrawn by mutual understanding. From now, all the OnePlus One users will receive CyanogenMod OS updates OTA (over-the-air) like other countries.

OnePlus entered the Indian smartphone market last year and was hit by a legal issue with Micromax that Micromax has got exclusive rights for the CyanogenMod OS in India. While this issue, Micromax also made sure that Cyanogen will not roll-out any OTA updates to OnePlus One smartphones which are sold in India and there was also a temporary ban of OnePlus One smartphones to be sold in India which was later lifted by the court.
"OnePlus remains vindicated of the recent trials and tribulations that have surrounded the company due to legal tussle with Micromax over exclusivity on CyanogenOS. We are happy to confirm that all 'OnePlus One' users in India will continue to receive OTA updates from Cyanogen in-line with our users in markets around of the world" said Vikas Agarwal, OnePlus, General Manager - India.

OnePlus has got good name & fame in the Indian smartphone market and also accounted for 7 percent of OnePlus One shipments in India last year.
One more good thing is that the OnePlus One doesn't need an invite any more to buy the smartphone!
