The 'Global Mi Phone Premiere' which is going to happen on 23rd April in India, the launch of several new devices is expected. Yet new certification and benchmark listings over the weekend tip, Xiaomi might introduce a new model of its current flagship, Xiaomi Mi 4, named it Xiaomi Mi 4i!

New report say that the Chinese smartphone maker - Xiaomi might introduce the Mi 4i, which got spotted by a Chinese website called MyDrivers and also on GeekBench which is a benchmarking website.

According to the GeekBench listing, Android v5.0.5 (Lollipop-based) Xiaomi Mi 4i will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.65ghz and is bundled with 2GB of RAM. These specs show that the Xiaomi Mi 4i is actually less powerful than the Xiaomi Mi 4 flagship which is powered by a 2.5ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC and is bundled with 3GB of RAM.
The specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 4i closely match the unannounced Xiaomi's blockbuster code - Ferrari which was seen in the benchmark listing last month. The benchmark listing showed a 4.9-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display, Adreno 405 GPU, 12-megapixel rear camera, 4.8-megapixel front camera, and 16GB of internal storage.


Global Mi Phone Premiere

At the current moment, the availability date or the price of the Xiaomi Mi 4i is not yet revealed. The upcoming Global Premiere of Xiaomi will be attended by its team members - CEO & Founder Lei Jun, President & Co-Founder Bin Lin and VP Xiaomi Global Hugo Barra.
Xiaomi has set a new Guinness World Record for mobile phones sales by selling 2.11 million handsets in a 24-hour flash sale which happened to celebrate Xiaomi's 5th Anniversary - Mi Fan Festival. The peak sale brought in $335 million from selling handsets and other accessories and broke a previous record by Alibaba's Tmall, which sold 1.89 million handsets in a day in November during a 24-hour event.
