OnePlus One Cyanogen OS 12 Update delayed!

OnePlus recently unveiled that the '2014 flagship killer' smartphone will now be available without invites 'forever', aside from discounts on its accessories for a limited time. They also dropped a hint to the OnePlus One's successor phone, OnePlus Two, which is expected to release after this summer.

Carl Pei, Co-Founder and Head of Global, OnePlus tweeted that the CM12S update rollout has been paused cause of the addition of the "Ok OnePlus" feature, which was due to be released as far back as June last year. It will now be comprised with the Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12 (CM12S) update. 
He also told that the 'Ok OnePlus' feature will be available with the CM12S update and not the OxygenOS, conforming that users who have already updated to CM12S will receive the Ok OnePlus feature in a separate OTA update.

The 'Ok OnePlus' feature is alike to the 'Ok Google' word detection feature, Although, it also brings lock screen or off-screen detection of the hotword. The 'Ok Google' off-screen hotword detection feature was promised by Cyanogen for a while, and was expected to be available with CM12S - but wasn't, much to the chagrin of users.

In the while, after Monday's announcement, One smartphone will be available exclusively in Amazon India without any invites. As earlier, the 16GB Silk White OnePlus One will be available at Rs.18,999, while the 64GB Sandstone Black variant will be available at Rs.21,999.
