Net Neutrality - Explained!

Net Neutrality

Net Neutrality

Net neutrality, is perhaps a not-so-common word, but is extremely significant. Simply put, net neutrality stands for indiscriminate treatment of content on the Internet. This basically means that the regardless of the source, website, content type etc, the content's propagation through the web shall remain undisturbed. Net neutrality, is one of the very existential features of the Internet, as it ensures that web services and markets aren't dominated by the already established brand Giants. It provides new developers with an opportunity to market their services, without subjection to an inferiority complex. Without Net neutrality, services such as Flipkart, Facebook, Google etc would have never been known. It's perhaps the democratic equivalent of ideals, virtually and hence should is essential to maintain creativity and balance.
