LG launches it's new Android-Wear at 349$

LG has just came out with its new smartphone the LG Magna on Tuesday, and also made its LG Watch Urbane go for sale on Google Store in the US. LG has announced the world-wide release of the Urbane smartwatch through Google portal a week ago.

The Android-wear is quoted at $349 which is approximately Rs. 22,000. As of now, the LG Watch Urbane for is only available in the US. The smartwatch houses two colours - silver and gold. It will start shipping from May 8th. During the announcement about the world-wide release they have also told that the smartwatch will be available for sale in countries comprising Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, the UK and the US starting of the coming month. They didn't leave any word about the smartwatch's LTE-based model that runs on WebOS and is right now available for sale in South Korea at $608, according to the Verge.
Recently, around a week back Google while introducing a major update to the Android Wear, also announced that the LG Watch Urbane will be the first Android-Wear to feature the updated OS with new features.

The LG Watch Urbane features LG Call and LG Pulse functionality for easy calling and keeping a record of the heart rate of the user.

Display

The smartwatch sports a 1.3-inch  circular Plastic OLED (P-OLED) 320x320 pixels display and has got a pixel density of 245ppi. 


Processor & Memory

It is powered by a 1.2ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor bundled with 512MB of LPDDR2 RAM. It packs a 4GB (eMMC) of internal storage. 

Other Features

The LG Watch Urbane comes with IP67 certification which makes it dust-proof and water-resistant.

It measures 45.5x52.2x10.9mm and it is backed by a 410mAh battery. It sports a 9-axis (gyro/accelerometer!compass), barometer and a Photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor to track heartbeat.


Our Verdict!

The LG Watch Urbane is a good buy for people who are interested in using a smartwatch regularly. It is fall for the Apple watch (sports edition) too!
