Amazon has launched the 7th Generation Kindle e-reader, the Voyage. The Voyage is hailed as the best e-ready every built and even though it is pricey than say the Rs. 5,999 paperwhite, it does come with enhanced user experience.

Looks & Feel

The most noticeable improvement are the bezels, they are of the perfect size, thin, but not too thin. They are made of the perfect material, neither soft, nor rough, just perfect. It just feels so much nicer to read a book on the Voyage. Of course it also helps that the display resolution has been increased to 300 ppi.

There is a layer of micro-etched glass on top that feels like touching paper. Amazon has also added an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness. They have retained the touch screen but introduced the PagePress which will allow you to switch pages without lifting your thumb. All you have to do is press you finger on the left or right to turn pages. You might feel the price to be a bit on the higher side, but Voyage is not just an e-reader, it's a luxurious e-reader and luxury comes for a price!
